Identity Crisis Quartet

Identity Crisis is an A Cappella quartet registered with Sweet Adelines International, a Barbershop organization.  Identity Crisis enjoys performing all types of music for all types of audiences.

Lauren Parish is the Tenor.  Lauren sang with the West TN Children and Youth Choir, under the direction of Martha Wright.  When Lauren was with them they were invited to sing at the National Christmas Tree lighting at the White House, at Notre Dame in Paris, France and in Coventry, England.  Lauren performed in the West TN High School Choir and the All State Choir three times each.  Lauren is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at the University of Memphis.  Lauren has been singing Barbershop with the Memphis City Sound Chorus since 2005.

Ramona Jackson is the Lead.  Ramona came to Memphis City Sound Chorus from the Top of the Rock Chorus, in Little Rock, in 2002.  Whilst in Little Rock Ramona was a member of the award winning quartet, Alias, as well as being active with Chorus shows and teaching members how to read music.  Ramona has been singing all of her life, she started as a child in the Church of Christ where her grandfather was the preacher, and became a member of the Hinds College Children's Choir at the age of five.  Ramona has a Bachelors of Arts degree in vocal production from the University of Arkansas.  Ramona has performed in a variety of shows, venues and for weddings.

Sarah  Negovetich is the Baritone.  Sarah is the Barbershop newbie of the group, she started singing with Memphis City Sound Chorus in August 2007 and joined Identity Crisis in January 2008.  Sarah may be new to Barbershop  but singing is a life long passion.  Sarah has performed with various musical and theatre groups all over the US and loves the opportunity to ham it up on stage.  You can usually spot Sarah as the short girl in any group.

Susan Kurts-Acred is the Bass.  Susan describes herself as the 'weakest link' in the quartet because she is the only one without a vocal education.  Everything she has learned about singing has come from her experience with Memphis City Sound Chorus.  Susan has been a member since January 2001.  Susan says that where others have had to go to great lengths for a vocal education she has done just as well learning from Barbershoppers.
